Business Mediation

“Every person suffers from the delusion that they are right.”

About me

Dr. Rita Eszter Kolozsi

I graduated from the Faculty of Law at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), then earned a Master’s degree in International Business Law at Central European University, during which I studied at Cornell Law School on a scholarship. Afterwards, I continued my career at both a Hungarian and an international law firm.

Több mint két évtizedes tapasztalattal rendelkezem hazai és nemzetközi tranzakciók, M&A, startup tanácsadás terén, valamint a társasági és finanszírozási jog területén. Pályafutásom során vezető szerepet töltöttem be komplex üzleti ügyletek jogi lebonyolításában.Mediátori munkámat a hosszú távú ügyfélkapcsolatokra, tárgyalási tapasztalatokra és a nemzetközi látásmódra alapozom.

With 25 years of legal background, I understand more deeply the needs and challenges of parties in dispute. In mediation, it is essential to find harmony between rational and emotional aspects — something that requires empathy and emotional intelligence. I want to help people live their business and personal relationships in balance. I believe there is a need for a paradigm shift in how disputes are resolved — and mediation represents exactly that.

As a lawyer, I have seen countless cases — not only from a legal but also from a human perspective. Today, as a business mediator, my focus is to help the parties not only settle their disputes legally, but also understand one another — and find the common ground on which an agreement can be built.

What Is Mediation?

Mediation is a peaceful, structured dispute resolution process in which the parties, with the help of a neutral, independent mediator, reach a mutually acceptable agreement.

The goal of business mediation is to help companies, business partners, co-owners or clients resolve conflicts quickly, efficiently, and confidentially — without going to court.

During the process:

The parties retain their freedom of decision,
The mediator does not pass judgment but facilitates dialogue and solution-finding,
Agreements are reached on a voluntary basis.

Mediation does not focus on who was at fault in the past — it looks to the future and seeks solutions that both parties can accept.

Why Choose Mediation?

Faster than litigation

Less expensive, fewer legal costs

Confidential process

Neutral and cooperation-based

Preserves relationships instead of damaging them

Understanding instead of conflict

Business Agreements Without Litigation

Mediation is a fast, cost-effective and confidential way to resolve disputes — particularly effective for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Its essence lies in negotiation: the parties, with the assistance of a neutral mediator, work together to find agreement. There is no judgment, no lengthy trial — the decision remains in their hands.

Business mediation is ideal for:

  • Disagreements between business partners
  • Conflicts between companies
  • Contractual issues
  • Debt collection
  • Interrupted or failed projects

Why it’s worth it for business leaders:

  • Saves time: no long court proceedings
  • Reduces costs: avoids high litigation fees and related expenses
  • Preserves relationships: common solutions allow cooperation to continue
  • Discreet: unlike court hearings, mediation sessions are private

The goal of mediation is not to dwell on the past but to create solutions that are acceptable to everyone and point toward the future.
